ALICE FARGIER
Alice Fargier is French-Swiss. She shows very young an interest in staging theater and edits short pieces by Jean Tardieu: « Oswald and Zénaïde » (National Conservatory of Dramatic Art), « Finissez vos phrases ! » (Château de Chamarande), « Nocturnes » (Théâtre du Chaudron). She then collaborates with director Srinath Samarasinghe in the writing of his feature film « Un nuage dans un verre d’eau ». Alice Fargier also works as an assistant director for feature films by Asian filmmakers : Hong Sang Soo (Night and Day) and Tsai Ming Liang (Faces). Then she joins La Maison de la Radio and begins a work of sound creations for France Culture: « Alma voit les sons », « Nasim, ou le désir en mouvement », « Esprits libres, portrait d’une génération de cinéastes », « Une certaine nuit d’été ». « Le Mur et l’Eau », her first documentary short film produced in Switzerland, is selected and awarded in many international festivals, as well as nominated in the Best Short Film category at the 2016 Swiss Film Awards. « Kâbus », video shot during an artist residency in Istanbul, is currently circulating in festivals around the world.
