In the vertiginous Bolivian highland, Cerro Rico, a mountain of long tradition and ofgreat significance rises. Since over 400 years people there are mining for silver. Themovie offers an impressive insight into the hard and dangerous daily routine of CerroRico's miners. Dust, hollow hammering and the headlights generate a unique andbizarr scenery, at one of the most dangerous workplace in the world.

The director:

Armin Thalhammer was born in 1988 in a small village in lowerBavaria, Germany. He was running through the neighborhood with his fathers camera even before he learned writing and reading.In 2008 he started studying media design at the HDUDeggendorf,spending one semester abroad in Melbourne and continuing with a Master Degree in Film at the University for Applied Sciences Salzburg. „Cerro Rico – The Silver Mountain“is Armin's debut movie.
