The life of a Polish farmer, Wojtek, and his immediate environment, shown through the eyes of the young Swiss filmmaker, Sebastian. Despite the harsh working conditions he has known since childhood, he has never lost his joy of life, warm-heartedness and humour. Living all alone in a big house, he likes to welcome guests in search of company and friends in need of help. It’s where Paweł, a young alcoholic with nowhere to go, finds shelter. Wojtek does his best to look after him. Is he up to the challenge?

Born 1985 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. He finished his Bachelor in Film from Zurich University of the Arts in 2011. From 2009-2012, participant at various workshops of the FOCAL foundation in Switzerland. He pursued his Master degree in Cinematography at the Polish National Film School at Lodz from 2012-2018. The films he shot as cinematographer were screened and awarded at numerous film festivals around the world, amongst Berlinale, Palms Springs, First Steps Awards, Camerimage, IDFA and many more. In May 2018 he celebrated the premiere of his directional debut with his documentary “The Guest” at the 58th Krakow Film Festival. The film got awarded at the 16th Doclisboa Film Festival 2018 for Best short film and won the Jury Award in the International Competition by the Portuguese Authors Society.
