Synopsis

A village in southern Spain. On a hot summer afternoon, a woman grabs a rabbit, strokes it, then kills it with her bare hands before skinning it. Her grandchildren witness this rite of death which they will never forget.

The director:

Born in Orihuela (Spain) in 1982, Elena López Riera is a co-founder of the collective “Lacasinegra”, which makes the feature film 'Pas à Genève' (2014), among others. Her first short film, 'Pueblo', is screened at the Directors’ Fortnight in 2015. Her last work, 'Las vísceras' had its world premier’s at Locarno Film Festival’s Pardo di domani competition.
