Synopsis

The Nest is a tragicomic and intimate portrait of an ageing couple from a slovak countryside. For years, Mária and Ján have been living in debts and repairing their house in hope that their children will come back to live with them again one day. But in every parent's life, there comes a moment when they must face up the fear of being alone.

The director:

Based in Bratislava, Kristina continues her studies of documentary filmmaking at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 2015, she completed the bachelor's degree with her short documentary The Nest which premiered at Krakow Film Festival and was selected to other festivals in several countries.
